Weird how so many dislike Naismith. He was an alright player and a decent guy.

Not the best of players for us but over half of those goals were scored against top 6 sides. Wish we had somebody as consistent against the top 6 now. Games against them so far this season have been memorable for poor refereeing decisions and missed chances.

He was actually exceptional in the box at times, and top teams don’t always deal with scrappy players too well (hence DCL causing Ciity problems and Naismith tearing Chelsea a new one). He had a use, but he was godawful away from the box.

Extremely limited player who at least had a big game mentality, a good type of character to have in any squad. Seen far better players come and go who made less impact or gave nowhere close to the effort he did. Went with my best wishes.

I hate Kante and our boy Gana because they nearly make me enjoy the role of the defensive mid.

But then I remember Morgan Schneiderlin exists and it all comes back to me.

He was a good finisher who popped up with some important goals. Was always a good option off the bench.
