72 points, 5th place, two mid-table finishes, two cup SFs...in three seasons.

Koeman: 7th and a relegation fight.

You work it out.

Lol I remembered he failed for more than 18 months (2 seasons) and all those SFs trophies were absolutely meaningless. Why can’t you accept both failed and thus sacked except your idol was sacked 18 months late?

Koeman and Martinez were both failures.

They both achieved the same as each other, sweet F A, they both left behind diabolical squads.

Steve Walsh on the other hand is an absolute con artist and grade a bell. I wish him no well and hope gets fired to the moon

Our best performance in the PL ever.

The man who oversees that is no failure.

He was and is a very good coach...and will prove it again at the World Cup.

Moyes, Koeman on the other hand are utter dogs.

Performance was subjective. He did not got the best results Moyes did. He got 4th and 5th for 2/3 times.

Doesn't matter if he is or isn't given the job to sign players or identify them anymore mate, the new manager is going to be the bloke who hired him as his head of recruitment at Newcastle - so they will decide together - think at Newcastle they signed roughly 13-14 players in one summer - of which I think 3 of them played more than 40 games for the club and over half of them either never played or where 30+ when they where signed,

this is what we have to look forward too, that recruitment in one summer ended up wrecking Newcastle in terms of what they could and couldn't do transfer wise for years. lots of high wages on players no one would then subsequently take from them

That was the beginning of the end for them as well. Got relegated twice after that and never threatened the top 6. Allardyce kept his "never relegated" trophy though as he bailed before it all hit the fan.

To sack Martinez, for this. I mean to sack Koeman was one thing, but to sack someone for 11th for a manager who hasn't finished as high as 11th in a decade.

As is his wont.

He never stays at a club long enough to pick up the tab for winning the “never relegated” trophy
