This is off Blue Kipper.....
Our mole has got it on good authority that Steve Round (Ste to his mates) will be joinhg Everton as number 2 to David Moyes. Roundy was assistant manager to Steve McClaren at Middlesborough and also part of the England coaching staff during McClaren's umbrella reign. He got his UEFA Pro Licence in 2004.(26/06/08)

They seem to think this one is nailed on. Any one no anything about him exept what is says in the quote above?

Seems a decent choice to me, He's got the experience at "top" club level and with England, and he's got all the badges. Although any England experience under Mclaren's England reign is probably best forgotten

Steve is first team coach at Middlesbrough FC. His playing career with Derby County was ended prematurely by injury in 1993 and he swiftly moved into coaching at the club. After progressing through the coaching ranks at Derby, including a spell as assistant manager under Jim Smith, he moved to Middlesbrough in 2001. At Boro he worked alongside Steve McClaren and had spells as second team coach, attacking coach and assistant manager. Steve completed his UEFA Pro Licence in 2004

Id prefer Clarke tbh, but atleast this means Moyes will be staying on (y) (will be joinhg Everton as number 2 to David Moyes. )

Would have liked someone with a bit more experience. Someone who could have brought more to the table, contacts, european experience... you know, something.

Steve Round... Steve McClarens sidekick and sacked by Gareth Southgate. Then joined Sam Allardyces Newcastle....

to be honest im not overly impressed.

so he was a coach for newcastle last year ?
well newcastle were poor on tactics , unable to gell , low on moral , underacheivers and looked like one of the most unfit teams in the prem.

i couldnt give a crap how many badges he has , the proof of the pudding is in the eating and his pudding last season tasted like arse and warm sick.

mclarens coach at england, barcodes coach last year !! both teams played with the distinct impression that they hadn't recieved any coaching whatsoever. so he has a load of badges..................theres a melt on the hill of p1ss who has a load too.
the only positive thought about this is that moyesy must have wanted him, and in davey boy i do have faith.

I'm not too bothered who's our number 2. If he's Moyesies choice, that's good enough for me. What this says to me is that things are at last moving after a dreary few weeks. In the next week or two I expect to see Moyes and Round putting pen to paper, and hopefully also a bit of clarity on whether the new stadium is going ahead. Then at last maybe we can get things moving on the transfer front.
