Stephen Carr?

I don't actually think RB is a priority this summer. I really like Neville there (plus that means we don't have to play him in midfield  ). Also I think Hibbert is more than good enough to have in reserve.

But on a free I guess it would add to the numbers

We have experience there in Hibbert and Neville so not sure why we need another one unless he adds quality above what each of those can offer. Carr doesn't fit into that category for me.

That has alerted Moyes who wants to bring in some experience to bolster his squad for another hoped-for assault on Europe. It would also allow youngster Tony Hibbert to progress as well as provide some quality back-up.

'Youngster'

He's 27.

No way that we'd sign him, he's so [Poor language removed] that even the geordies think he's crap, they gave us Hottiger, they can ram Carr right up their gigantic tattooed arses.

I agree don't see the point in using some of the wages budget on him(y)

are you quite certain with your views Vim?:lol::lol:

ps, you are dead right:lol:

Was one of the best Rbs in the premiership until he went to the barcodes...

on a free is surely worth a gamble plus is better then Neville and Hibbert combined.

I somewhat agree but Neville has to play somewere and midfield isn't his strength. So why go after Carr? No use mucking around with a RB when we need midfielders in bad way.

Signing a right back makes it more likely that Phil Neville will play in midfield. We need to sign midfielders.

Slightly paradoxically, the other link in today's 'Rumour Mill', Paul Scharner, would be a good signing, as he can cover centre back or the holding role, which Carsley's legs aren't really up to any more. (Scharner could also cover right back if need be, but hopefully Moyes would play him in midfield before Neville)

We've already got TWO squad players that play right back.

We don't need a third.

If we want a RB, Glen Johnson looks good to me.
