Statement from club and manager.

I worry mate , I have lost confidence in Moyes , His subs on tuesday night lost us the game , he just sat back ,trying to hold onto the 1-0 lead instead of trying to build on it , then when we go 2-1 down he brings on anichibe and Jagielka ffs..Should of been probably Victor and Beckford..I have no confidence in us beating Blackpool at home and I shouldn't be feeling like this..

Agree with that. I was amazed (well, almost, had I not half expected it from Moyes) when I saw who was coming on. Beckford had 1 chance in 7 mins against Chelsea - and he would have beaten many keepers in the prem with it - Victor, as much as he's got 'spirit', cannot control a football, let alone bring it down, turn, shoot, take a player on - not to the level we need when trailing 2-1 at Arsenal anyway.

We are where we are mate there are games we should have won and lost it all balances out in the end.We still have 14 games to sort it lets hope we do

Blackpool (H)
Bolton (A)
Sunderland (H)
Newcastle (A)
Birmingham (H)
Fulham (H)
Villa (H)
Wolves (A)
Blackburn (H)

We have the quality to win all these games.

These next 9 games are the most important in my opinion. This could be the difference between Europe or Relegation, it really is a tight league this year....

Blackpool is our biggest game of the season win and we are on a roll, draw and its squeky bum time, lose and we could get relegated. They have lost 6 out of 7 this is the best game for us at this moment.Everybody has been poor this season from kentite down but we still have time to do something about it.

Can't fault your positivity mate , I seem to remember someone saying the same thing about the West Ham game and see what happened , I hope we win , but I can just see Blackpool over running us..

Again you all seem to be missing the point , YES it's frustrating at the lack of funds and Transfers coming in , but we do not have a depleted squad and we have GOOD players , It's Moyes who is failing us on the pitch and the Board are failing us with lack of funds , The thing I am concerned with at the moment is the failings on the pitch..and Moyes is the problem at this current time

I am not saying Moyes is untouchable. Who could we honestly expect to get that would be any better and put up with the lack of funds. Any decent new manager would expect a transfer budget to bring in his own players.

I am not saying that Moyes is God or anything, just that we won't get anyone better.

I understand what your saying , but you can't guarantee there isnt someone on parr with moyes in the lower leagues..For me Moyes has run his course and it's time to freshen things up..Some guys on here think Moyes is untouchable and that is frustrating..

On the official site about moyes saying there was no loans available that would have been better than whats on the pitch allready.

I dont get that its a cop out, bentley and keane at spurs and thats just 2 ,he is covering for that fat mincer kenrite again.

I'm not buying it either, especially as Pienaar wasn't originally brought in to be a first team player. Martins and Keane are both out on loans and would have at least been useful as back-up even if they ween't good enough to start in Moyes' eyes.

...and it doesn't explain why players like Yakubu and Vaughan were sent packing either.

What Moyes' statement should have said was that, with the derisory amount he had to get talent in with, he couldn't get quality in to replace the quality leaving.

Anyway, never mind Moyes' statements, let's hear from the owners of the club - or at the very least the CEO who's paid good money to explain this transfer window failure.

Dave, in the circumstances the question still begs, why were those players loaned out? MOyes and BK should answer that.

Have to say perhaps could have done with Yak putting his weighht about against the snides yesterday.

Yes, I totally agree. It's funny we had a reasonable explanation for the Pienaar sale (preumably because they think most fans would support it as a no-brainer to get money for him now rather than see him walk for free in the summer), but absolutely nothing that I've read on the wisdom of releasing Yakubu when there was no replacement onboard.

The club's run like a whelk stall.

12 goals in three years, constituting 65 appearances is a good enough reason for getting whatever you can for him. He hasn't scored more than 5 goals a year for three seasons.

He's gash, basically. Getting rid of him I have no problem with; however I do have an issue with not bringing in a first team striker whilst getting rid of squad players like Yakubu, as the point is otherwise lost.

Yakubu wasn't getting games , Only Moyes will know why..It's not as though he was playing a big part in the team , Moyes just wasn't interested in him , Hence why he went on loan , We can all get into conspiracy stores why he left , but the truth is that he wasn't getting games and he wanted to play regular football..

IMO he should be still here and playing in the first team alongside Saha , but Moyes loves his 4-5-1...
