Whatever player that shows they are up for the fight with desire and qulaity to get the spot. Is on patterson to show he is the best player for the spot

Because he's failed.

IMO he plays further up the pitch or gets loaned out to learn his trade at FB.
But isn't the manager going to pick him there, if he's fit?

I'd expect Patterson to start more than likely. I also suspect Garner, now fit, will have more opportunities in centre mid. My own two penneth for what it's worth

Seamus Coleman from the list, for me. Leave Jimmy 'Rockford' Garner where he is, he's a cool head in our midfield and can pick out a pass. As for Ashley Young, as far as I'm aware, he doesn't even play for us.

I think that's the least likely option of all.

If the club captain is fit for the start of the season he slots right in.

With Garner now underlining his proficiency at RB I'm fairly relaxed about this troublsome position in the team for the first time in a long time.

He has started 13 league games in his career.
Exactly why he shouldn’t be gaining regular first team football at us same last season needs competitive senior games very inexperienced and raw we’re a poor side fighting relegation really don’t need to be pinning our hopes on a young inexperienced player add that to the senior crap around him another young crap player in mykolenko and young midfielder who vanishes in games when needed that’s a recipe for relegation

Probably a season in the championship or League one on loan will do him the world of good.

100% possibly would of still got injured if out on loan last season but I think last season he probably hasn’t developed much more than where he was at the beginning of the season. I think league 1 is a bit low I think he could do a job at championship level and it would benefit him so much without the pressure of our fans and what’s going on at the club no doubt makes us less patient with what goes on at pitch level.

As Coleman has signed a new contract and had one of his better seasons in recent years I think he gets the nod as first choice RB, particularly as Dyche holds him in such high regard. But Garner is potentially the best RB we've had in decades, if we can recruit in CM then Garner is a huge asset to us at RB, and probably nails down the position for a decade. He plays with great positional sense and discipline, calm under pressure and his distribution is top notch.
