Martina/Baines aren't exposed defensively near as much.

And then DCL with Sandro off him up top.
Schneiderlin, Lookman, Mirallas and one of Rooney/Klaassen to miss.
If we get Gylfi in, I'm happy to have Davies at RWB with Klaassen sitting deeper and Gylfi playing, but unfortunately it means Rooney will play up front which I don't like it one bit.
We need a CF desperately.

Nothing wrong with a back 3 against Stoke at home. It would be exactly that-a back 3, not a back 5.
I agree though, doubtful he will play a back 3.

Even if Sigurdsson joins he won't be played. He's not played in any pre-season games and will likely not be fit anyway.
