Stadium music & match-day announcements

Not sure I've ever got an answer for this despite asking numerous times.

Why are we the only club in the Premier League that has these ridiculously loud and jarring tannoy messages mid match ? It used to happen at Goodison regularly and now happens at the new stadium.

I've genuinely never heard such a thing at another Premier League game in all my years of watching, yet we bust out these 'operation blah blah' messages regularly.

What's up with that? Every televised Everton game you can see comments from non everton fans on other sites asking wtf the announcements are about, so it's not just me that's puzzled.

Proper grates on me, just from watching on TV, can only imagine how annoying it is in the stadium.
They have them at the pit too, I assume it's a Liverpool council thing. I agree, though, it is weird.

Incredible how much they cock it up every game.

Grand Old Team not played long enough
Spirit of the Blues played too long
Siren on too long
Sometimes The Las, sometimes not
Sometimes All Together Now, sometimes not
Players already on the pitch for ZCars
Announcements too loud
Rossy mispronouncing EVERTON players

On an average home game, you can usually pick at least 3 of the above.

It’s really, really, really not hard.
I certainly don't mind them not playing the exact same songs in the exact same order every week, i'd much rather they mix that up. Getting the timings wrong for coming out and the constantly mispronounced announcements are annoying though.

At the risk of going full Everton da, not a big fan of the light show beforehand.
I like it, its not too much & at least there's none of that firework thing going on at the side that some clubs have.

Like the sirens but the timing of the players coming out needs to be spot on.

No point in the silly quiz on the screen & I'm not sure about the interviews but then again they are usually for kind & charitable stuff.

More decent pre-match music.

I've always liked hit the bar think its great when they do - & it can be hilarious when they don't (remember the drunk guy from Norris Green years ago).

Keep the Everton songs & 'There She Goes'

'Forever Everton' just on kick off as it keeps the crowd singing.

I could swear they played Spirit of the Blues twice, back to back, just before kick off on Monday night.
It's pretty clearly an issue with timings, they want that to be the last song playing before the siren which in turn is the last thing before Z-Cars, but they seem to be struggling to work out exactly when each phase needs to kick in so they end up repeating things and the player entrance being out of sync with the established norm.

It’s actually incredible how every single match we keep messing up the pre-match music etc. like I understand once but what other club or organised events messes it up to the extent we do? It’s so Everton.

"Foever Everton" leading up to KO does kinda work as the crowd carries on singing it once the game starts, but personally I'd like to see them play Z-Cars then stop the music and see what kind of atmosphere builds naturally. There's been a few times this season (Sunderland game going up to the penalty shootout comes to mind) where songs have got going in the stands but they've drowned them out with tannoy music.
