There are cases like this one that justify the death penalty.
When there is absolutely no doubt that they are the killer. What is the point in putting him in a cell for 50 plus years it costs thousands to imprison him and pay prison officers to watch him.
Because the death penalty will always mean a not guilty plea and the trial will run and run and cost millions.

Appeals will happen and the defendent will be in prison for years, still costing millions without giving closure to families.

Also, there are lots of studies which show that the death penalty doesn't give closure/is ineffective as a means of closure to families.

I am not sure if I was 100% guilty that I would prefer to spend 50 years in prison than the death penalty, either way your life is over .
Not saying you are wrong it's just my opinion

The thing which really strikes me is how little remorse he's got.

There's a clear obsession with Violence. How did that develop? Was it always there?

From a totally selfish perspective, it terrifies me that he could access Al-Qaeda handbooks, could purchase knives without the need for ID, and a whole other plethora of truly alarming things. How do you stop your kids doing that as a Parent?

"I feel neutral about it".

Just makes me feel ill. People stabbed several times, some fatally and he feels neutral.

He's never getting out, doubt he's going to survive long in prison. Criminals or not, there will be parents in there who won't like what he's done to innocent children.

This just turned up, seems it was an academic study of.

I caught on the news earlier and I wish I hadn't that he stabbed one of the dead girls 122 times, another 86 times. This wasn't wounding, it was a decision to kill the defenceless.

There is the obvious question that needs looking into, not least his expulsion from school and ALL of why.

That isn't an excuse or an understanding. The parents true background needs some look at for me, I lambasted that c*** pri** thatcher for pinochet, if it's something near, questions need asked.

Public execution?! What's that going to achieve

Who can watch, would it be a ticketed event?

I’d pay for a ticket. I’d pay a lot tbh. In fact, if I was in charge, I’d arrange for his decapitation, and then I’d invite the whole of Southport to have a massive game of red arse with his head.

He’d be in goal with no head, so he’d be unable to catch any volleys and would therefore be guaranteed to get the red arse, and then I’d have the whole of Southport line up to give him a red arse by booting his own head against his own arse!
