Had to stop reading the live feed.

If he was cognitively aware of the utter heinous evil of his actions then he deserves to go away for a whole life term, or worse.

If he is allowed to shield behind any degree of criminal insanity then he needs to go away for a whole life term for the protection of the public.

I find it absolutely disgraceful that neither of those possibilities can happen today.

Don't think he'll get any insanity plea. It'll be made an example of. Case is too high profile.

Can't help but think of all the other children and people who were there. Life changing.

TBF the evidence we’ve seen reported today is a powerful example of why the public don’t have a right to know everything about a case like this before a trial.

What those kids and teachers went through and what the cops and medics had to deal with when they ran to help was horrific in the fullest sense of the word. The evidence of how horrific it was can only be effective if it’s put before a jury empaneled to deal with the person responsible.

What we’ve got to avoid are the calls from the papers, social media firms and the ilk who demand access to this sort of thing in order to profit off it.
There is people blatantly pretending they don't know the law, obviously the twitter idiots, but also people working for national newspapers purposely lieing

Absolutely disgusting.

To know full well what he was doing, to continue to do so when people were screaming, to see kids die before him.

To show no remorse when questioned.

To act the way he has in then dock.

Give him a record sentence. No parole. 150 years or whatever. Make others think twice.

The fact he was known and nothing had been done is a question for another time.

Him being 17 will complicate that, but I've no doubt that the actual law will be ignored again on twitter

Plenty of people are "known" to police and councils, it still doesn't stop them causing harm. That'll always happen. But increasing the means to do something will.

The "immigration checks" and Muslim drum will get banged on this one. The other none-agenda driven crimes of a similar nature won't but they're all in the same pot. Under funding of services and their ability to action

They mentioned on the live feed that he didn’t pay the taxi driver and the taxi driver chased him and another man from a local business chased him and told him to pay the taxi driver and he said to the man “what are you going to about it” or something.

They didn’t elaborate on what happened after that.

Did they call the police or follow him into the studio? Were they there when the attacks happened or had the taxi driver given up and got in his car and left?

Group of people stood behind the BBC reporter there with a 'We want Trump' shout, stood right outside the court in Victoria Square. Charming..

Oh everyone will jump on that.

British National, and now lots of faux "news", re his dad being a war lord from Rwanda.

It's not fair on them. The dad evidently a big community presence within the church. But people will ignore that.

The kid is a monster and just hope they can find a way issue the most maximum term.

He's just been booted out again. Judge didn't think he'd behave himself whilst some of the details were read out.

Indeed - apparently he said 'I'm glad they're dead' as he was held..
