I have an inkling that his defence have explained to him that it’ll be a lengthy trial, where he will be found guilty, whereas he won’t want to be there nor ever give evidence.
He’s plead guilty as it suits him to, rather than it being based on any remorse, nor can it reduce a whole life term. The inquiry will do much of the trial’s work for the public.
