Koeman starting with Barry was bizarre, and we were outplayed by a much better team. But we came back in to it to an extent and only lost by one goal. I'm strangely positive after this defeat because I still very much trust Koeman and think we'll be much better next season IF we have a good transfer window.

At least the Baggies lost yesterday .

That was a shockingly bad performance though.

before the season I would have taken 7th. that doesn't mean there is something that feels quite humiliating that we are looking over our shoulder as to see what Tony Pulis is doing.

Not great tactically. The initial system worked for 15 minutes until Tottenham figured it out then it was clear we needed to change. He waited too long and we did decent after that but it was too late. Barry cannot play in games with that kind of speed and Robles has some Howard like issues that may prevent him from being the longterm keeper

They're streets ahead of us, but we really were our own worst enemy today. First goal I'm blaming Gana and Barry, second Joel and third we just went to sleep (again). However, Spurs are a template for us, I think they're such a good side and it showed today.

Really disappointed with our centre halfs, lost any faith I had in Mori and expected far more from Williams.

Barkley was my man of the match, he was excellent, wasn't he?

Send me your thoughts on the game and I'll include as many as I can in the video.

Koeman bottled it.

5 centre mids and no one knew what they were doing.

We were very comfortable defensively up until the 1st goal. I feel Robles should have done better with it. 2nd goal was a shambles with Robles/Schnied to blame. 3rd goal we didn't put enough back in the hope of retrieving the ball and attacking but Schneid and Baines totally switched off and I would blame Baines as he could see what Deli was doing. Can see a total overhaul of our defence next season. We gifted Spurs today.

Question on the second was why was Williams not even looking at what was happening and shouting at an upturned player, bad lack of concentration, third goal where on earth was Mori?

Entire game - did mori switch before the game for his twin brother whose a striker, as that was the worst centre half performance since alcaraz in Kiev

Sad to say it but it's true. Baines has just declined but first half Coleman looked as though he was struggling just to control the ball, complete and utter malfunction and his passing just went to pot. Not good enough for where we want to go sadly.
I thought Coleman posed a threat to Spurs down the right. He worked tirelessly too, which he always does.

This is nonsense. The gap isn't as big as we made it look today. Anyone could see what player and tactical changes needed to be made to make us compete with them. We were the better side when we finally decided to do that.
Spurs are better then us. Results and league positions prove this. We lost by a goal. Not the end of the world . It could have been more .
