Does RM realise you have to make crosses into the box to score a goal our possession football was static today - poor performance Baines and Barry looked unfit to me - mishmash of a team selection = no width or crosses build up so slow!
I felt sorry for Barkley a one man midfield!

:-( Terrible performance from us! We'd game in our own hands after Mirallas scored and the home crowd was turning on them but then as usual stupid self made errors and we're behind going in at half time and home crowd buzzing :-( Out of the 90 odd minutes we played quick forward attacking football maybe 15 minutes, the rest of the time its slow mundane backward passing painting drying excitement :-(
Mirallas and Besic only ones who played above average today and can say they earned their wage

We gave them two goals because of our inability to bring the ball out of defence under the slightest of pressure. A genius system that has our worst two footballers in possession more than anyone else. Howards distribution is a big problem too.

Not for the first time this season we lacked drive and pace on the ball, our movement was too slow and we weren't incisive enough, laying it inside and backwards rather than trying to get in behind them. Playing the long central ball to Lukaku is just a waste of possession as I don't think I've seen him win one of those headers all season.

Disappointing result after being in total control for the first 20 mins and having the lead.

Someone tell Parry and neville that spurs at hijr the blerts
Do we really want to be in the Europa league?

Its effecting us quite evidently

We have hull which is a must win with city nxt up. Crisis at Liverpool? Na just look at ourselves as we are always worse of

Yes. we are not winning the league and I want to see us win something. We could cope with both demands but we're messing about with the formation and playing too many people out of position.

Playing thursday had nothing to do with Howard and distin screwing up again

Got what we deserved in the end. If you dont create chances, how do you expect goals. It took a wonder goal for us to score.

Was it a pen? I think so. If your hand is above your head jumping in the air, thats un-natural and its a pen.

But we werent good enough today and I cant argue with the result. Spurs have been absolutely bang average all season and of course they decide to have they best performance today. We were second best on the loose balls, pedestrian going forward and I honestly cant remember their keeper making a save of note. We deserved to lose and again, our season stops dead in its tracks before we can get going.

Weirdly it worked early on. Eto'o dropped in behind Lukaku, Barkley took the slightly inside role and Coleman was bombing on.

Spurs cottoned on to it after 20 minutes and nullified it - and Martinez had ZERO plan B during the game.
