I thought I'd read somewhere the government/council would only give planning permission if it was part of a redevelopment of the area that included some partnership with a supermarket chain or something a while back, sounds like I imagined it then!

Looks like it could be a cracking stadium by the way.

I've just been reading about you playing away for a season to enable faster construction, any idea where you will be playing?

We are trying for Wembley (yay!) but it looks most likely to be Milton Keynes (boo!).

It would take me 3.5-4 hours each way to get to MK for home games..... aint no mountain high enough, aint no river wide enough to keep me away from Spurs.......

To be honest I hope you do go to Milton Keynes, it's already bad enough having semi-finals at Wembley never mind a game every other week. Although it does make more logistical and financial sense to go to Wembley.

Thought Chelsea were outbidding you for Wembley?
 
Another team that going to pull away from us. Next it will be mid table crap, there already catching up at an alarming pace

Not sure it a bidding process mate. Media reports say they have offered £11mn per season for 3yrs & we have offered £8 per season for 2. No idea how much truth there is in any of that.

I thought your new stadium was new. Why cant you play at WHL? Selling it to part fund the new one?
 
What a stadium. We're an absolute joke, how long do we have to put up with this board scrabbling around for hand outs before we start to force them out?
 
The Spurs Board are streets ahead of ours it has to be said. However Spurs have effectively been a property company with a football club attached for many years.

The value of their real estate and the development value of their old site are the key enablers to their amazing new stadium. Even with the best Board in the world, we could not hope to achieve anything similar without huge public subsidy.
