remember when WHAM's sponsor folded and they just stuck blank stickers over the logo on their shirts..

I think most people have worked it out. Heres a big clue...were do you really think the complaint about Sport Pesa originated? Just my opinion of course

Could hold up anti pesa banners / demo. Make us the kind of club they dont want to sponsor.

I hated the idea of being sponsored by a betting company anyway - even if there was nothing wrong with SportPesa. But I really wish that our sponsor was a more legit, well-known company, because we depend a bit on the sponsor to promote us, not just give us money.
E.g. With Emirates, they have Arsenal stuff on the airlines and in Dubai. Brighton have American Express, but they've got a big office there - couldn't we have someone like Amazon, Jaguar, or any of the big firms with offices around here.

No government of any hue will step in to save a gambling firm the moment, least of all a firm like SportsPesa with virtually no UK high street footprint

Possibly could be a tax thing with the Kenyan gov.

Basically only the Big 6, Brighton and Leicester arent gambling companies. Leicester's is because King Power basically own the team and Brighton because of what you said and also it is extremely cheap. Big companies aren't doing this.

Loved Chang. They were proper Everton. Rubbish beer, no money, but did stuff the right way.

Big companies aren't doing shirt sponsorship you mean? I think its awkward even though there's so much money in EPL the big 6 get the big companies, and then other 14 get middle-ing or dodgy companies because the big ones - say HSBC, NatWest, EE, - mobile pjhone companies, banks, airlines - go for full events rather than individual teams
