SportPesa - at it again

Surely all SportsPesa are doing is the same as every fan who claims that purchasing a ticket gives them the right to shout abuse at the team, call the players crap and boo at every possible opportunity.

SportsPesa have paid their money, they can say what they like.

A sponsor is a business partner mate not a customer/supporter.

Rather a big difference between the two...

Whilst I'm not denying there's a difference, essentially they just use the players as advertising space getting a guaranteed massive audience. That's what they pay for. By making their social media jests, all they're doing is drawing more attention to themselves, which is the whole point of their 'investment'. I'd hardly call it a partnership.

Having come across a bad experience with a relative involved in gambling on football my view on SportsPesa has changed completly. I would like to see them and all the other betting firms dropped or not allowed to sponsor football clubs. It’s not going to happen in the short term of course because they bring in too much money to the game, but eventually it will.

The problem is that by coming across as incompetent muppets, they're not exactly inspiring confidence in using them for a financial transaction are they?

I wouldn't trust them with my bank details.

Come on mate, they're Kenyan, not Nigerian. Of course you can trust them with your bank details.

Incompetent muppets you say. No wonder our board thought them a good fit.
