Saints play a high line and have fullbacks pushed up the pitch.

We have to play Bernard or Gordon out wide.

Having Iwobi and James on either flanks with little pace makes no sense to me.

Hit them on the counter.

Lad give it a rest with pace, every single game you crap your pants cos crap teams have a few players that can run fast now and again.

Then you say we should play 2 rubbish players instead of Hamez.

I reckon you're terrible at Fifa.

Well I just read a Saints forum who basically claim they are utter pants defending against pace and are made up Richy is out as Iwobi is slow.

But hey ho Saints fans know less than you on their sides set up and weakness im sure...

Could realistically have any one of Gomes, Siggy, Bernard or Iwobi in the advanced midfield role - or even move James there. If Coleman is fit Godfrey could come in for Mina. Richy's spot could be taken by Iwobi, Bernard or Gordon but Is really like to see Nkounkou get a chance there.

------------------Olsen----------------
Coleman Godfrey Keane Digne
-----------Allan-----Doucoure-------
James--------Siggy-----Nkounkou
------------------DCL-------------------
Bench:
Pickford
Mina
Delph
Bernard
Iwobi
Gordon
Gomes

More likely though that Davies is in the squad at the expense of Gordon or Nkounkou. With Richy out I'd even like to see Simms on the bench but can't see it happening. If DCL takes a knock who goes up top?

Hope that Ancelotti drops Pickford next week have said before he is a liability

Bit of a tough one that - I doubt Ancelotti will want to completely wreck his confidence and dropping him would be like saying "this is punishment for injuring Virgil"

Would give him this game to save himself and if he cocks up get him out the side for Newcastle.

If counter-attacking is the name of the game then it's not just a pace game. Moving the ball effectively and timing is much more important. Personally I'd rather have Gordon - not cos he's exceptionally fast but cos he's better on the ball.

Intelligent movement and timing beats out and out pace. Look how good Danny Ings can be getting behind and he isn't rapid by any means.

Doucore is our advanced midfielder. We don't play with a No10 behind the frontline.

Definitely don't see the sense in taking James away from the wide forward position where he finds space and times his movements to drop off into that space behind when it's most effective.
