I realise that we have the Kirkby ruck going on, but I wonder what other incident may have made you quit supporting Everton. I also realise that many will say, "I've never considered doing that" - but there must be souls who are prepared to be honest.

For me it was the speculation of us signing Lee Bowyer. Due to his reputation, and what happened in Leeds when he and his good mate Jonathan Woodgate set upon some Asian lads that would really have been a step too far for me.

On transfer that I am glad didn't happen.

I agree, Bowyer would have been an awful signing. It's not just a race issue but also one of lack of respect for fellow human beings. I would be just as pissed off if we signed Barton. Violent offenders should not be considered at this club.

nothing. ever.

but i did once buy a fake ticket off a tout outside the ground and was denied entry. i was late and my mates were already in the gwladys. looking back it was quite silly (i was only 18 at the time) but i was more angry with myself than everton tbh.

oh.. he was a clever so and so. he had an unused ticket from the season before from the same fixture. in my excitement of getting it for a tenner i did not notice.

as i was walking away i heard the crowd cheering a duncan ferguson goal.

my lowest ebb.

(my mates still bring up this little gem).

I've seen other Evertonians abuse other Evertonians for 'not looking the part'. Seen it a few times. Find that disgusting

Nothing would stop me supporting Everton,But I would register my disgust with the club by post and phone and e.mail I hate any sort racism or violence and prejudice and I have sampled all three, being white I was not aware how racist some people are until a friend had to return to Nigeria and his youngest was left with my wife and I she was 3 months old.and the comments in Belle Vale shopping centre where unbelievable and this was in the eighties my daughter was with us and every one assumed the baby was hers it was vile,I have been beaten up a few times my crime supporting Everton, and as for prejudice all fat people get it in all walks of life your either stupid ,dirty or lazy usually a combination of all three.

Ok just to humour the thread- nothin has ever come close to making me say I would stop supporting everton, that isnt an option.

There have been times where it has been difficult to stay as passionate- the Walter Smith days, the third Howard Kendall spell- 1994 season.

The whole racist board thing when the manager wasnt given funds to sign Dion Dublin due to the fact he was black was also not great.

Kirkby would, wouldn't stop me supporting the team but it would stop me attending and jack in my season ticket.

with fans like these.....!

What? Thats right im not a good fan, damm standing in the pissing down rain outside the training ground, damm forking out my own money for the past 5-6 season tickets out of 11 i have owned, damm being sat on a cold decembers night watching the reserves.

Same here mate :( We move to Kirkby and the Everton we know and love will be dead. Not supporting Kirkby Town FC! As for anything to stop me supporting Everton now, no. Unless we sign Bramble of course :P

lie after lie.

Peoples club my arse.

When I were nowt burra lad I almost stopped supporting Everton when Fred Pickering was bought to replace my idol - the Golden Vision himself - Alex Young. I only started suppporting the Blues in the summer of 1963, as a north London glory-hunting 10 year-old so, when in March '64 Everton paid Blackburn £85,000 (what a memory this old guy's got! :o) I was still in a position to revert back to becoming a Spurs' fan. There have been times when I wished I had, such was the heart-ache we all know accompanies following Everton at times (the seventies and nineties for instance :() but, as Everton are in my heart and in my soul I never could and am glad I never did. (y)

Nothing really.

Since that CWCup campaign, nothing could ever change this feeling inside.
