I honestly think United would be in a much better position if they had kept Moyes. Knee jerk to get rid of him and knee jerk appointing Ole.
He would have built a top four team on the fraction of what they have spent. But they had it out for him from the start, pretty much, so they are getting their comeuppance now.

Their fans seriously think OGS is a better manager! Based on their respective records in the league, I think not.

They cannot be as harsh on LVG and Jose due to their resumes, so they try and say Moyes ruined the club by in a 10 month period where he signed two players (who went on to be key men for them).

Fact is Ferguson let that team rot from within and jumped when he fluked that last title. Man for man City were a much better team and should have won that year.

Their fans were also acting as if reappointing Mike Phelan was some sort of holy grail moment that would restore their secret ingredient for success. Shame Phelan was crap at Hull! Same with their other “lauded coach” Rene whatshisface

For the first time he looked worried last night.

The whole defence bar Shaw needs rebuilding.

Looks like Pogba will be off and talk never goes away linking De Gea with Real.

He needs a lot of money and it’ll be telling whether he gets it > Moyes.
They will be lucky to get rid of Pogba. He is a lazy primadonna who goes missing most games for long periods.

Utterly overrated.

The performances were starting to dip even before he was appointed permanently. I treat this exactly the same as Di Matteo with Chelsea. The players were desperate for the change whoever came in, they were going to ramp it up ten or even twenty fold when they got their wishes.

Now the effect of no Mourinho is wearing off, and the novelty of Ole "at the wheel" is fading, the same United will appear again.

Backwards decision. Should have waited til the end of the season. Not complaining, if they lose to City in a fortnight, i'll be flying.
We could finish above them next season with Ole “at the wheel!”

Appointed on the 28th of March when they were in 5th place and still in the FA cup and Champions League, less than a month later they are 6th and out of the cups. Good work.

Really should have waited until the end of the season to appoint him, they might have won the FA cup if they had.

He’s getting slagged off but do people actually expect him to win anything with that team? Their defence is worse than someone like Brighton’s ffs.

Also how can he as a manager stop David De Gea taking the night off and replacing himself with a hologram?

I’m not necessarily slagging off Solskjaer, but I just don’t agree with appointing him.

It’s clear there is an issue with the attitude of most of the United players, and what they need is a strong willed manager who they are terrified of.

I know they are in the quarter finals, but I personally feel United need to start again from scratch and build from te youth, they’ve had the likes of Pereira, Rashford, McTominay come through, they’ve got a very good core there.
Okay, maybe less from youth, but they need less egos. The likes of Pogba have so much talent, but wants to run the place. Same with Sanchez, together they’re taking home £800k per week, just knuckle down.

But Man Utd will never be anything until the egos go, the money they’ve spent too.

If Solskjaer can turn it round, then full credit, he’s proved me wrong.

Got to be honest, had never realised he played for United at the Nou Camp, or he’d been a Fergie signing.
Amazing when you unearth stories like that and Dave Whelan breaking his leg

It's not uncommon for a club to get a good run of form going after appointing a new manager (unless it's Everton.) Much less, a coach being made a manager is always going to go over well with the squad since they see him probably more as a pal than a manager in some ways.

I don't know how long his contract is but I would really hope it was only for a year. It would be mad to give him anything more as an unproven Premier League manager. Keep in mind, this is why Simeone and Zidane are "swerved" by a lot of fans.

Scholes in trouble for betting.
Nicky Butt nicked for hitting his Mrs.

Not the best of weeks for United.
