I don’t doubt we have a hardcore support. But to get 70k (as a couple of posters have suggested) relies on more than just the hardcore. I get that our games are a sell out but it’s a leap of faith for some to suggest a 60-70k though. I joined this forum as i think it’s one of the mist popular forums about and therefore a good indicator of feeling amongst our fanbase. A look through this thread tells me all I need to know. Most on here aren’t even going to watch it. Outside our hardcore, our support just isn’t there. That can’t be argued. Thats why the club look to have decided on the capacity they have.

I had abdominal surgery last Thursday and they’ve told me to take it easy with no stress for two weeks, obviously didn’t see my everton tattoo! Ah well it’ll be on amazon for me. I do fear the worst and having watched Howard’s Way last week I think it wouldn’t be a shock for history to repeat itself and another 5-0 drubbin. I was hoping for Silva to be sacked and new manager come in and we win a la Joe Royle but this is our everton so who knows. One thing is for sure even in the days of Mike Walker and Walter Smith I still had some optimism for the derby but zero for this one.
