Even without the blue tinted glasses these were top top players.
Hope we get to see the likes again in a blue shirt before our days are up

Cheers mate. Just watched the last part as well. Funny as fck watching Morrisey dive in at Stephney. The turn and shot by Best in the first half was class, as was our 3rd from Alex Young.... I was in the boys pen that day, over 60,000 in GP, happy days...

Just watched that game from 1967/1968, Young, Ball and West really stood out that game for me. George Best was kept quiet tho he won the Football Writers' Assoc. Footballer of the Year. Also Man City won the league that year, the last time since they won it this season.

I fully expect there will come a time in my life (28) when we can all say without a doubt that we're the best team in the whole entire world. I'm realistic to know that us being us means it will probably only be for a year or two until it all goes pear shaped.

Alex Young must be the most iconic Evertonian to have ever played for the club,he must have been something else to still make my old dad go all dewey eyed even to this day!!(PS met him at a book signing years ago,and what an absolute gent)
