I've been off all day.
The wife said her company rang one too and the operator said noone was out. Can't blame us really. One crash or bang and it's a disaster, not to mention risking your life for buttons, and the ungrateful buggers still don't tip.

Not that much snow here, in the Southern part of Holland. The North and West had it a lot tougher. Not that cold also. Tonight's min temp is estimated at around -7C. Personally love winter, so no complaints here.
Started snowing about 7:20 am here , just before I set off for work. What an adventorous car-ride that was 
. Gritters hadn't been out again . Same thing happened just before Xmas. Snowed continuously till lunchtime. Got sent home from work at 4:30 . Ice on every bloody road , HAVE BLACKPOOL COUNCIL GOT NO GRITTERS . Car acted like an ASDA trolley on the way home. Think I'll walk to work in the morning.

Just took me 4hours 20 mins to get from Hunts Cross to mine on The Wirral. 15 miles.
Not amused.

It doesn't matter what the driving conditions are, you still get the idiot driver up your arse who then tries to go past you...noobs. Most drivers, like me , were staying at about 10 mph . Still skidding , but you still have some control.

school closed today and tomorrow as well, kids been out sledging & making a whopper of a snowman with rosemary for hair, a big fat conk and goggles.
we made a big snow chair as well so tomorrow we are making some more and a table for our gluwein.
got the ski's down the loft and strapped them on for the 1st time in 18 years, kids were amazed as they expected another injury, haven't lost it though and execute a near perfect parallel turn.
