Snide

Snide

  • Never enough Snide

  • Got to do it, it's the modern game

  • Now and again, so we don't get a name for it.

  • An ungentlemanly trait, the sign of a Bounder and a Cad

  • Just not Everton is it.

  • We were always snide, just subtle with it

If we start diving I think this'll be my favourite Everton ever.

This, we have a 45m free kick specialist and it’s silly we did not win more free kick than we have now. Arteta use to drop dead with the faintest of touch, we don’t have such street smartness in the squad now. Feed Siggy with 10 free kicks per game and chances of getting something out of it is high.

best bit was calvert lewin kicking the ball away in the 93rd minute and getting a yellow card

if i was going to get a yellow for doing that though i would have picked the ball up and wellied it away

That actually annoyed me. The Newcastle player tried to take a free kick about 5 foot further forward than the foul. Calvert Lewin simply kicked it back to where it should of been taken from. Kennys 'where's the ball' moment cracked me up. But the Newcastle player launched it at Kenny. Is that not normally a yellow card?

Little things I know but the inconsistency of refs is appauling.

I don't want us to be liked by opposing teams and supporters, you're doing something wrong when that happens. You're performing better on the pitch when opposition fans dislike you, we made an enemy of a few sets of fans recently and then we imploded. We need to get back where we were, more snide and bags of cash spent please Everton.

I'm a huge fan of our new found snideness.

I'm even enjoying how much our own "fans" are fuming at our snide on Twitter.

How much is the other Sam behind this?

Was part of a successful side who were full of it and knows all the tricks.

..i think this is a worthy consideration. During his time, it was a definite tactic of the Boot Room. I remember Laurie McMenemy saying how friendly the staff were every time he visited Anfield until Southampton won a game 1-0. He said the language and comments from the dug out were dreadful and he wasn’t invited into the Boot Room for a drink.

They are bad losers, it’s the mentality they want from their players.
