Good post mateBit harsh, sir. Watford are OK this time out and we have been d-i-r-e...
We were pretty much out of League and Europa - and DU's win rate in the Prem is 50/50. He's brought Lennon, Lookman, Beningame (spelling, sorry) into 1st team football with positive impact, too. We looked at our brightest for a while vs Watford - and I just felt for the first time a bit of belief coming back within the players. DCL and Oumar great impact and of a bit of luck with Oumar and pens of course, but sometimes season's swing on these moments...
We're a struggling team out of Europe. Attracting Managers/Players of the right calibre for us is tough now. Tuchel and Ancelotti talk is baffling. For me, the only 'available' contenders are Pulis and Allardyce - and I'm not saying they're your picks, btw : ) But are they really long-term prospects? The only pluses are they could perhaps make some canny defensive signings (CB + LB) which we need in the next window. Perhaps they could collar a journeyman striker, too. I just don't see them moving us forward, but understand if we did move for either of them for safety's sake.
DU has galvanized a team that was plummeting in attitude and work rate. Patternless. We look like we wanna get on the front foot again and I think his only 'mistake' was trying to attack Leicester away, who like to counter. We do need to be on the front foot, it's clear from the players above he wants us to play that way, and I hope he gets time to learn how and when to apply that in games.
Either way, would you like to see and Big Dunc back in the fold if not trusted this time around? I would. I do think anyone joining now has a VERY difficult job on their hands and too much chopping and changing will only make things worse.
Good post mate![]()
Last time we had an evertonian in charge was 21 years ago. Which was the last time we won anything. Not like we've been knocking it out of the park since then!Good post but no
We need to move away from the old boys brigade
Two reasons, they’re not up to it and unfortunately aren’t winners
Bring some winners in....they don’t have to be one of us....blah blah blah
Since 1963 only ex players have won trophies - Harry Catterick- Howard. Kendall- Joe Royle!Last time we had an evertonian in charge was 21 years ago. Which was the last time we won anything. Not like we've been knocking it out of the park since then!

Agreed but one difference.....they were winners as playersSince 1963 only ex players have won trophies - Harry Catterick- Howard. Kendall- Joe Royle!
Unsy is a legend in his own right for Everton..always gave 110% as a player and cut his teeth in management with the underage team but was never going to be able to take over the shambolic reigns that Augustus gloop left behind...Rhino will have his day..just not now...
