..I think they have picked up on the fact that Koeman was prepared to talk positively about it. Any journalist would pursue that line because it would be a big story.

..as Walsh says, Rooney 'sees the picture'. Any player would appreciate playing in the same side as him. I dare say he wouldn't always get game time but what a footballer to have at your disposal.
Class can always work I think, I don't believe in this talk that players can't play together, Lampard and Gerrard for instance.
They didn't play well together because of the roles the were given, IMHO

I know we are all desperate to hear big news on contracts and the Dock site and will probably spend most of today picking over every word that Sky push out to try and fit in with our own individual narratives or needs - but I doubt we will get any big reveals today. As someone said earlier if that was the case then Sky would have been trying to whip the world into a frenzy for days leading up to it.
I do think though that today's little number is a good indicator of where we are heading and that the future is positive. I think this is a little indicator that Sky know what is coming - they are waking up to the fact that their usual little darlings are going to be pushed aside in the coming seasons and that the Premier League landscape is well and truly changing.
This is simply Sky getting on board and building bridges that they had previously neglected.

..I think so. We complain about poor communications and here we have EFC talking openly and positively. Like you, this doesn't appear to be leading to a major announcement, it's more a 'state of the union' type report on where we are at the moment and how far we've come in a short period of time.
If Rooney came back it would show that we can attract big name players again. Ok he's not the player he was, everyone knows that, but he'd still be a fantastic option as a striker/second striker and also take pressure off Barkley as the creative role. He'd obviously have to take a massive pay cut but signing him should attract other players to join.
