Dilemma for Rooney would be if he was willing to come and sit on the bench for us, or go somewhere else and play first team footy? Would think Rooney wouldn't want to end his career as a bit part player.

...thought the Koeman interview was interesting, not just for the Rooney references. I've gone on record as saying I think Koeman is 'uncomplicated'. I wasn't sure about the way the team played but I accepted it was work in progress and we are beginning to see the improvement.

He wants to make players better, said he wants to keep Barkley (so we can put to bed any views to the contrary) and he is working with him to make him a better, all-around footballer. It'll take another transfer window for us to 'truly compete with the big boys'.

All of which is very positive. I think I'm REALLY starting to like the big Dutch fella.

...Walsh has a team of people working for him. Martin Glover is chief scout. It's about integrating the Academy and new players we bring in. First thing he did was find out how RK wanted to play and we've built on that.

Be interesting to see what comes out today, if anything. Whatever happens though this has to be seen as positive for the club. Sky Sports are doing a day long feature about our club. Hopefully things like this become regular as it means we are going in the right direction.
