He'd obviously have to take a massive pay cut but signing him should attract other players to join.

Yep. Other players respect Rooney. They aren't like fans who go "oh he's past it" etc. They look at the bloke and think "Top player him, he wins things". Different perspective. He'd help to attract better quality and also improve shirt sales etc. Plus, I don't think he's as past it as people think. Could defo still do a job.

Of course mate,and that's another opinion thing but I don't think lookman is ready to play just yet so could be him or one of the midfielders come out there is many options.
