Excellent performance from the young lad today. Hibbert played quite well at centre back but if Coleman continues with performances of today's, he could well cement a regular right back berth. He reminds me a lot of Baines in terms of attacking. Easily motm today, well played Seamus.

I half expect him to start on the right wing against chelsea, with neill or hibbo at right back and heitinga dropping into central defense. Coleman would not be out of place either, good dribbling and crossing. I'm feel the optimism returning..

I was crapping myself right after seeing Yobo pull up clutching his leg after, what, 2 minutes. Then we bring on an untested youngster (hang on,
he's 21!!) for Joey and I crapped it a little more. Coleman quickly eased my fears with those fully commited tackles.

He got lucky with a few bounces, but I think this was a case of him making his own luck.

Fully committed, played with passion and showed more than a few senior players how to do the job.

This is what they are saying in Ireland about the lad

Lets not get too carried away but he was good, very very good and a great name as well(y)(y)

really good to read what the Irish forums are saying, and that they rate Seamus so highly, he was excellent in parts today, he's done what he had to do and take his opportunity, lets hope he kicks on and makes the position his own.

Well after the FA Cup final...

Like i said in the match thread, he was motm for me also. Great performance, full of skill, drive and passion. Stood up and was counted when it was needed, and was an example to some of our other players when it should have been the other way round. I'm sure Moyes will return the senior players back to the team for Chelsea if they are fit, but I would love to see him given more matches. Even leave Hibbo at CB sometimes, rather him there and Coleman than Neill at CB with Hibbo RB! :)

Nah, Seamie played centre back for us once in Longford if I remember, and it didn't suit him at all. Leave him at RB, and build the team around his bombing runs. (y)

After getting up at daft o'clock to watch it I'm just glad we've all got something to be cheerful about, game being re-shown at 3 so I'll finish work early and watch it properly this time.

best attacking right back we've had in years. Hibbert better perfect himself at Cb cus after last night even neill would be thinking what he'll do when jags is fit..Coleman=class(y)

The lad was awsome yesterday, hope it wasnt just the element of surprise or a flash in the pan - a bit of realisim though is required it will take him a while to be able to do it every week - though he has the fans onside now. Two great options at attacking full back with him and Baines. Anyone remember McFaddens game at Leeds when he looked a world beater and the second coming. Im hoping for this boy to be quality more then most - Ireland really need a dynamic right full - well in any position really.

You can see Moyesys plan taking shape though i think The mustard really surprised him yesterday too, we are two midfeilders and a centreback of a really strong squad.
