Sir Landon Of Donovan

Thanks for the link to the article.

I remember Lalas saying that too and to be honest, I just laughed because in all honesty, he could have a lot of clubs come in for him but I think he WANTS to stay at Everton.

He fit in well with the manager and the players and the fans love him. That and he's playing for a club with a rich history.

Really I don't see him going anywhere else in Europe. It'll be Everton or MLS for the rest of his career.

Unless a club offers stupid wages, like what Lescott and or various City players makes he'll stay in LA or come to us. He needs to be in a place where he's liked by his teammates and the fans.

He'd be a nice bit of business for $10-12M US, especially if Everton wants to make inroads into the US. All the footie radio shows/TV shows have been talking about Everton since he's been here.

TALKS UNDERWAY

Apparently Moyes has just indicated EFC and Galaxy are in talks to extend the loan of Landon Donovan until the end of the season........

And its looking probable with Galaxy seemingly not against the idea.

Source: David Moyes press conference.

David Moyes says there's an outside chance that Landon Donovan's stay at Everton could be extended.

The American international's loan deal from LA Galaxy expires after Everton's Premier League visit to Birmingham City next weekend, but Moyes revealed on Friday that there is a chance that the 28-year-old could remain on Merseyside beyond that date.

"I'm keen to keep Landon and I think Landon's keen to stay as well so it looks like all parties are keen,” said Moyes.

But Everton manager pointed out that any extension is far from being finalised.

"I've not got that confirmed yet and I can't say exactly if that's going to happen. But if we can make it happen, we would and if Landon wants to stay, which I think he does, we'd be really keen to keep him.

"There's no guarantee yet, and I won't know that for a little while longer but there is a chance.

“For him to come on loan and do so well considering the games he's had to play in, I think he's done exceptionally well,” he added.

Interesting.

quoted David Moyes:

"I'm keen to keep Landon . . .

For him to come on loan and do so well considering the games he's had to play in, I think he's done exceptionally well”

I don't know Moyes or the League well enough to gauge how much credence to give what he tells the media. Maybe he's being polite after all? I mean, how could he say "The pace Landon gives us is a blessing but if he f*ing misses one more sitter I'll crown him . . .!"? Obviously he couldn't say that even if he believed it. But that's got to be what he's thinking.

Sounds nailed on, cant help but think that the Galaxy and MLS cats are looking for a european pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

Nzogbia!

Come on, really? That's rather short-sighted. If Moyes sacked every player that whiffed on a ball, you would have zero players.

This is a positive development; hopefully Landon can stay. I enjoy watching him play at Everton.

Feck Moyes im waiting for LCAB confirmation!

OK-- so here is my win - win - win scenario:

Everton and Galaxy agree that LD will:

A/Extend the loan through the end of the season

B/Play in the World Cup

C/Return to the Galaxy for their season through the summer and fall--a valedictory tour for the MLS

D/Return to Everton at the end of the year for good

There--that's the scenario. You heard it here first.

Now you guys sort out the money!

OK-- so I stick by my prediction....

:)
