Sir Landon Of Donovan

I'm just glad he has played a pivotal part in our season. Let the World Cup run it's course and then I guarantee you if he really misses the beautiful game he'll be back here rather than the MLS. He can go back to LA one of these days when he feels like it.

If we could we would need to sign him now. he is 27 and his MIS?Galaxy contract goes to 2013 which means by then he would be 30 years old!!!!!!!

Even if Moyes was willing to pay his transfer fee, he wouldn't stay.

Neville said as much today, "He likes living in LA..."

Yes, he likes living in LA...but he also likes playing for Everton.

Beckham last year pitched a fit to stay with Milan and said all manner of unkindly things about MLS. Then when he finally returned, he heard about it from the fans.

Landon has always respected MLS and hasn't said bad things about it. He knew from day 1 that the LOAN would not be extended - because (1) the Galaxy had it written into the contract that a loan would not be extended -they did not want a repeat of the Beckham fiasco and (2) Landon has said he wouldn't do that to the Galaxy; it hamstrings them with a big salary cap hit and no player to show for it and no way to get a replacement player for those few months.

But while a loan extension is not possible, I can almost guarantee you that if Everton were to buy him outright....he would welcome the chance to play with Everton on a permanent basis and he would most definitely leave LA and MLS. I am 99.9% sure of that.

Neville: “It is what it is, Landon is here for two months and we have just got to accept that. Let’s just hope we can get him back for another two months next year,” the former Manchester United defender told the Liverpool Daily Post.

“He loves living in LA and loves playing in the MLS. We have just got to accept he will not be staying, but he has been fantastic for us and let’s hope that continues. He has come in at a time when we needed a bit of a spark and he has provided that and he has fitted in superbly.”

He's not staying.
