There, I've said it. He's boss, I love the lid and he makes us play better, but he'd be on big wages and would definitely cost a few million. We'd be better going for someone with more years and/or a potential sell on fee in the tank, knowing that Pienaar is also on his way.
Head over heart, of course, but that's the only way for me.
I think he's on $2.4M per year now (what's that about £1.6M or ~£30 per week)

I have a feeling we'll actively pursue the permanent signing of Donovan this week before the MLS deadline and sign him by Friday, bookmark this if it's felt necessary.

Landon Donovan was the only regular player left completely out of their friendly with Tottenham tonight, not even on the bench. The rest of them play every week also.
