To the people suggesting he isn't any good.

He is better than our current options of

Osman
Coleman on the wing
Neville in mf
Cahill( currently )

He will pay a major part in attracting any investment and shirt sales as well, he loves the club and he fans love him.
It's a no brainer.

Yeah!!!

To be completely Man Utd about it: if nothing else, he will undoubtedly make Everton a more popular team to support in the US.

Yes, exactly that was my aim. Robert Earl should be doing that, surely he must know some big wigs at Gatorade etc

For the record I'd welcome Landy back, providing it was cost-effective.

I just think people need to ground their expectations and realise at best this would be another plaster (or band-aid for you Americanos) over the seeping, gaping wound that is our lack of offensive ability.

I'll come back here with some formation thoughts soon - running off to lunch at work, but HOLY CRAP - we have passed 300,000 views!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm now officially buying my Everton FC shirt with #9 on the back. (Uh, assuming he's still #9, maybe I should confirm that). So, I'm about to contribute some $$$ to the club (see how that works peeps).

Thanks to LCAB for the scoop weeks ago.

Also, yes, sponsors did kick in for a portion of the deal (this is back in this thread ages and ages and ages ago) - don't remember how much and who. For some reason Gatorade also sticks in my head. This would make sense as they have done a ton of advertising with him of late.

Even if a number comes out this time around, we have no idea how it is structured.

My biggest question is what everyone elses is: how long is he here? The first CONCACAF Champions League game for the Galaxy is 3/7, the second 3/14 - they are must wins. So basically, we may only have him 8 weeks. That seems very short.
