Sir Landon Of Donovan

Right there with ya, darlin'

He's going to have a ton of pressure:
1. From Evertonians wanting him to step up and help rescue our "meh" season.
2. From Americans wanting him to carry our torch again.
3. From his naysayers who will be looking for any sign of "I told you so" if he doesn't succeed. (There's a batch of Clint Dempsey fans in here too).
4. From Jurgen Klinsmann.

If he still comes, says a lot.

Pienaar or him - ONE additional resource will help us out.

I hope.

There are no transfer rumors in here...I repeat, no transfer rumors. There are however a crap ton of bad puns:

But I think there are some fair points summarizing what some of us have posted here about our form, formation and balance. And you could apply a lot of what is said to Pienaar too.

There is also an epic photo of LD's fod looking especially foddy. And Becks looking a bit comb-over-y old. :P

Tweeted his congratulations today: "Fantastic result for the toffees!!! Perfect start to saturday #COYB"

Get him back and we don't really need Pienaar. Drenthe will more than do the job. Then spend our undoubtedly small budget on a striker/right back. Preferably a striker, depending on how Vellios does.

Article does also say this - "Everton will spend in January, of that there is no doubt. There is cash available following Arteta's sale to Arsenal and chairman Kenwright has given Moyes the green light to spend. Had the Arteta deal been completed 12 hours earlier in the summer, Moyes would have reinvested it then." Which kinda backs up what we're hearing elsewhere, but still good to hear.

If it's true that Donovan really did cost us 3m for the first loan deal, and we're looking at anywhere near that same amount for this time around, please look at other options. Spending that much on a near 30 year old, represents bad business in my eyes, especially given the money situation at Everton.

I can see your point but for arguably the US's best player and what we seen from him in past we need his width and experience even if it's for one go again. I'm tired of building up a hit or miss younger player that Moyes doesn't like to settle in the team until the twelfth of never.

I serioulsy hope we didnt pay 3m for that massive fod.

I would actually cry if thats true.

He did a job when he came, but if we spunked 3m on a Loanee for 2 months I will fume.
