Dutch the answer is the Deal is not Dead. This time last year it was a Yes. There is still not a no. So he still can come. Just right now not near what it was last year. keep hope alive. he still wants to come.. how bad we shall see.

Thinking out loud here....close to home was a clue I think. Maybe a current players teammate from a national side? Can't be a spaniard they seem to be too expensive. You said the player was not Dutch. Not looking like an Englishman, or Scot. Any speedy wingers on Australia's national team anyone?
