Landon Donovan has urged Everton to bring him back to Goodison Park – as David Beckham ruled out a move to the Blues.

Everton manager David Moyes has been linked with loan moves for the two Los Angeles Galaxy stars after Donovan’s fruitful spell at Goodison last season.

And USA captain Donovan has made it clear he would like to come back to Merseyside if a deal can be struck.

Donovan, in Zurich to promote the USA bid for the 2022 World Cup, said: “I want to go back to Everton. How could I not after last time?

“But I have to be responsible to my body. I would say it is 50-50 at the moment. I have had two weeks off and if my body feels better I would say there is a good chance, but if I still feel tired then we will have to see.”

Well, as the pressure mounts , as well as secret agents L.C.A.B, Matt' Dawg' Damon and the elusive shadowy 'S' on the case.. their numbers have been swelled by the recruitment of.. Agent T.C . Yup, our every illustrious Antipodean Maestro is in Zurich as we speak, not only representing the Australian 2022 World Cup bid ( along with Elle McPherson) and will no doubt be having more than a quiet word in the Fod's ea,r over a grilled Swiss cheese sandwich !! Work ya magic Timothy, ya know it makes sense !!
