United, Chelsea and Arsenal all to play at Goodison.

We need to get back to getting wins against the big boys and home and making Goodison a fortress again.

If Silva can pull off minimum 1 win and 2 draws from those 3 games that will be a big corner turned for both him and the club.

We drew with Liverpool at home ffs. It’s not an amazing result.

Having won just four of our previous sixteen games since the last derby and lost to Watford only days previously, I daresay that’s precisely what it was to the many (check the match thread) that were expecting us to get paddled.

I think the character we played with impressed also - it wasn’t quite the toe-to-toe of Anfield, but we kept them at bay and created chances ourselves. That the World’s Greatest Defender (tm) was MoM says something.

Trajectory is important. Have we turned the corner? Tune in next time to find out.

Yeah I forgot that Pickford kick that was nearly tapped into an actual open goal.
There's an old saying in football,if you hit the post it might just as well be the corner flag. They created chances that needed a good save and a couple of last ditch tackles,in comparison we created zilch.

I’d use the Siren for those games. Maybe jib it for the Burnley one!

They created one chance that needed a good save. Regardless of whether it registered on the stats as a shot on target, Bernard’s was quite a big chance. How can you say Fabinho being tackled in the area was a chance created but that one wasn’t?

For me a chance at least has to be a shot on target that requires a save or last ditch clearance, the clubs site didn't even bother to include it in the 5m highlights.

So if Bernard had connected and it ballooned over the bar, does that still not qualify it as a chance? And does that mean a shot from 35 yards that dribbles through to the keeper is a chance?

That wouldn't require any intervention from an opponent,so I'd say no,seems we just have opposing views to what constitutes a chance,as I said the official site didn't see it as worthy of inclusion and as I'd only watched it in real time, after your post I thought I should watch it again, sadly couldn't find a video clip online which would point to it not exciting may others.
