Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

But he is still under contract to, and deserves a proper send-off! I don't see the issue here, he is the best man to try and get 6 points off of these two games. It happens all the time at other clubs, heck Madrid have had half the season knowing Mourinho is going...

I don't think it has ever happened at another club. There is a big difference between speculation and being officially featured as the manager of a rival smiling on their website.

He is the mancs manager now -he is not interested in Everton and probably not been interested since he refused to sign a contract. Dont understand this saying goodbye to Moyes crap no one is bigger than the club - he's ****ed us off and the way his best mate Kenwrong was crying on the tv what an embarassment.

If Moyes cared about Everton he would of resigned - but instead we have Everton being portrayed as a Manc feeder club. What a media circus it will be on Saturday it will all about Moyes and not our club.Resign now Moyes.

It's going to be a circus until Moyes up sticks and finally vacates the premises. Hopefully he will tell the journos to jog on, regardless that it's their job to extract info and report it.

Yeah I dont think he will answer any utd questions but like you say its gonna be an absolute circus press wise. For me personally it could have been handled better say for instance somebody took over for the last two games caretaker manager and moyes took a backseat till his contract ends he could have still come to the game sunday avoided all the press and walked round the pitch at the end with the players for the ovation that he deserves.

I don't think so.

Many of us put the New Year slump down to the emergence of the "contract negotiations" issue which reared its head in January and the seaon started going south.

Those of us whom pointed out this self evident truism were derided and told it made no differemce.

We now know that it made a tremendous difference as the manager's mind was elsewhere, because negotiations for this ascent to the OT throne didn't just start this morning with the Fergie announcement.

IMO they have been ongoing for several months now to the detriment of Everton FC.

Moyes unsettled the club in the midst of what was looking a very promising campaign.

This is now irrefutable.

But it appears a done deal now and I for one feel relieved that is is all but over and I look forward to next season with a great deal more enthusiasm than I was twenty four hours ago.

There is one matter I think should be cleared up, though.

It's obvious David Moyes's mind is a million miles away from Everton right now and I don't think he should be involved in theam selection or tactics for our final two games.

Let Sheedy and Stubbs pick the team.

I think that would be a bit of fun.

Great post that mate unfortunately too many have invested their own credibilty in Moyes being a paragon of virtue it's all very emporers new clothes. He'll get a weeping and wailing fond farewell from the same sorts who clapped Kenwright but he shouldn't for all the duplicity you outline - in business you're marched out the door by security (had it done twice)

The more I have thought about it, the more this is so wrong.

He should be put on immediate garden leave as the guy above says.

Everton mean nothing to him anymore, think about that before you clap him

The manager of Manchester United picking an Everton team and leading them out for the last game of this season is just wrong.

Yes,he should be at the game. Yes,he deserves an ovation at half time.
The Everton team should be managed on the day by people who are still Everton employees...in spirit.

Its just so weird for the game on sunday-hows it going to go can you see the ground singing the davey moyes song ??

Made up he's staying for the final two games, gives us a real chance to show our appreciation for the last 11 years.

He's going to get a fantastic reception inside the ground on Sunday and rightly so. Nothing wrong with the way Moyes has handled it, he's saw out his contract and he'll be doing everything to finish on a high note.

If we get beat, the atmosphere will be UGLY.

Half empty ground at the final whistle for the Moyes tribute lap.

I think this might be the way to go.

Watch the game......and leave immediately the whistle blows.

Normally I always stay for the lap of honour but I have no stomach for it this weekend if Moyes is going to parading around milking the applause.

Yes. He's our manager until 7/1.

With that said, pissed at Manchester United's handling of this like they are the only club in the world that matters.

Of course they'd act that way, but man. Gross.

I'll miss Moyes. This is a bummer.

Why wouldn't you stay to applaud the man who's done brilliantly by this club for over a decade?
