bang on mate, i voted ban but your post has made me think we have the high ground here and they have just lowered themself to an level it's hard to come back from. As a southern based evertonian i hope our fans don't think this clown in any way represents the veiws of normal working class southerners.
It's a stereotype debate.
I also live down south, during a work fancy dress day my manager dressed in a shell suit, wig etc.
He said that its not fancy dress where you are from is it !
Now I could have kicked right off over that, but I couldn't be arsed.
That, is my fault, but it's not uncommon to have stereotypes about northerners down south.

Can just ban everything. The Sun are the the organisation responsible. So they are the ones I want to see suffer. But not sure there's any need to ban everything that's even in the most tenuous way linked to them.
So we want to ban Journalists who may not have even been alive when Hillsboro happened but we should go easy on the likes of Murdock who sets the agenda and tone for his media outlets.
If the sun was a wholly independant newspaper, it would have been band from Goodison and Anfield years ago. As it stands, the club dont want to step on the toes of any of Murdocks outlets so the fight should be taken to murdock.
In the age of internet forums and fan tv, surely it's not too hard to stop lining the pockets of this fella.

Get that frequently.

Blame Harry Enfield. Utterly not arsed.

Why didn't Liverpool and us do this years ago? Why now?

The similarities in timing with Yanks II first starting to get loads off the fanbase and this campaign being backed are perhaps not accidental.

I should say though that if the club want to ban that paper until MacKenzie is fired for what he has said about Barkley, then I would wholly support that.

I'm just as bad.
I mention heroin regularly when taking the piss out of a mate from Glasgow.
I can give it and take it.
However, my private jokes are just that.
I'm not a highly paid journalist whose comments get published.

Thoughts........
NO, if your going to ban murdochs newspaper, you have to stop taking money of murdochs Sky,or its double standards.
The question is,why have Lfc done it now and not straight after hillsborough ??????
Let the 96 rest in piece and stop using the disaster as a way of keeping their name high profile.

As far as I'm concerned each individual everton fan banned the sun a long long time ago, I couldn't tell you anything about that paper if I wanted to, the sun will get what they want out of liverpool fc and they know it, they will send in independent journalists, the rats across the park are point scoring that's it.

I'm all for freedom of the Press, but The Sun are yet to even apologise properly for their grotesque, mendacious coverage of Hillsborough all those years ago, so I say ban the rag.

If The Sun were to deliver an apology that occupied the first few pages of their 'paper (including the front page headline) and that completely repudiated all the lies they printed in '89, I would consider changing my position on this, but as it stands I say ban the rag.
