Good stuff, should have been a city wide thing years ago. I just assumed that Liverpool had already banned them in the aftermath of the disaster, massive shock when the ban got announced a couple of months ago.

Very fitting to do it on 15th April as well. Well done Everton, get that rag out of the city completely.

Whatever the timing of the Barkley article, the man responsible for "The Truth" should have thought twice about slurring the people of Liverpool in the week running up to today's anniversary. Either he was unaware, or aware and didn't care. Not sure which is worse myself.

He should know, he was editor of it when it happened

Gillette Soccer Saturday reviewing today's game - talk a lot about Ross Barkely and his nightclub incident but not a jot about the "scum" article. Executive gagging order no doubt

To be fair, I was embarrassed Liverpool AND Everton hadn't banned that rag for decades. I was actually amazed when Liverpool only got round to doing it a few months back - what were they thinking?

Just get rid. Shocker of a print. Cant believe were actually wasting precious thread pages discussing this...... an im a southerner !!!
