One very odd statistic, and it has a great deal of relevance to this thread, since appointing a manager we've only ever won trophies via a man who had played for us. I know that Howard and Joe both preached passion to their players, that passion was exemplified by Duncan on Sat. Could a manager who never experienced that fervour convey anything resembling what happened on Saturday to his team.
Like most of us I'm very wary of a false dawn but give DF a backroom staff of former players such as Tim Cahill, Dave Watson or Leon Osman and he might carry it off.
Thanks for an unforgettable video day Dunc!!!
And you were doing so well...
Then you gave it away...

One game at a time with Dunc
Then let’s see which top is interested in join the Project At the end of the season

I think a more reasonable question is to ask whether you want him in charge till after the cup game at anfield. He’s earned a shot till then and after that evaluate whether he stays till summer

If we can not get in someone absolutely top' notch quickly, we are in safe hands with the Big Fella in the meantime.

Night and day the difference between him and Unsworth. I thought he looked like a duck to water on Saturday.

With the right attitude and tons of passion and a little ability, you can go a long, long way in this life.

Duck to water is about right.

Maybe, just maybe, the answer has been here all the time. Next few weeks will show us.

Unreal.

I believe the next 90 minutes at Old Trafford will bring many to their senses.

Hopefully that board of directors dont think that a result based on the reaction to a derby day webbing is enough to get the manager's job at this club.

I'd take the time to get the right manager. Give him the xmas games.

This is different from the Unsworth games. He was never around the 1st team and tried to be clever including the kids. He was out of his depth.

Ferguson has been around the 1st for years now. He's seen what works and doesn't work. Personally think it may be a good thing he has Ebbrell with him.

It would be no great shock getting turned over Sunday as it's what we have done most games there for years now. If he wins I will only see it as a bonus.

Almost had me sold until Leon Osman. Then I vomited.

We won our first game under Unsworth. Is there any difference just yet?

If we get beat on Sunday then we're in trouble again. It's not a feeebie, and neither will City or Arsenal be either.

The owners have had well over a month already, because Silva was dead man walking.

No excuses. We need an experienced manager in, we cant rely on a coach with no experience in leading a team or setting up to play outisde games when the crowd is the difference.

We are Everton FC, not Brentford Town.

To be fair Unsworth has a 100% win record at home in the league as a caretaker.

Just under a month, he was literally sacked 4 days ago.
