We need to bring in a manager that understands that tic tack sideways football wont work at goodison. If this takes until the summer to bring in the correct one I'm happy with dunc till then. He will get us points at home. Maybe different story away but we need points and will get them with his style of play at goodison. I would also say we could do leicester in the cup with him in charge.

The problem with Dunc is simply we don’t what he like as a manager.
Saturday was all blood and thunder but you won’t get that every week.

Because he has never developed as manager. He has been a coach for years, completely different commodity
Martinez, Koeman, Silva, Allerdyce were/are tactically limited and were managers for years. Guardiola managed Barca reserves for one year before taking over the first team and winning all in sight. You've either got it or you don't, being a Manager doesn't suddenly make you a tactical genius.

Its fitting that you laugh @davek as that's all I do at literally every single post make these days. You lost all credibility a long time ago, which is a shame because you used to make some really good posts but you're at parody of yourself at this point.
People are giving the divvies who run this club the easy choice of opting out of installing a real manager when we are still in desperate trouble.

All pressure should be heaped on them to sort this manager situation out now before we really slide into trouble.

"Big Dunc" and all that baloney is just a nostalgia trip that'll end us.

We need urgency here, not a way out for the board.

Ya very true. He prob isnt the long term solution but enough to get us safe and possible cup wins. Safer option to another tic tack continental side ways possession manager who will get lynched if play too slow.
If we cant get the correct man in now wait till summer. No point in getting another who yet again wont suit what we need. We have had enough of them.

I'm afraid some are on such a nostalgia fuelled joy ride they aren't listening mate.

"Bg Dunc" wore Howard Kendall's watch and alls well.

BTW, who leaked that info about HKs watch? That galoot looking to curry favour even more and try and land a job permanantly.

He's playing these people. An utter cynic.

For the past 5 years we been calling and blaming Dunc for everything..Every time we lose or a manager gets sacked... now all of a sudden we want him as manager?

Duncan Ferguson, Svengali like manipulator of the media. He was asked a question and he answered it.

Seriously, is anybody in this thread doubting the need for a permanent appointment?

I think even you shoudl be grateful for a stirring win and performance on saturday because without it, the urgency you want to see would lead to mister right-now being appointed this week rather than mister right in the coming weeks.

There's absolutely no way that he'll be our manager for any longer then a few games. People are just happy to have an excuse to be happy over Everton for once. Let it go mate, you make some great post on here and I agree with a good deal of what you say at times but just let this go and try to be happy for a few days ffs.

The whole thing crazy, we play 1 game all blood and thunder. We want that.

last season we blew Arsenal(1-0 should of been 6) and Utd away playing attacking football. No one was moaning aboutpassing footy then

Pressure has to be maintained on that board. Handing them the option of carrying on like we are now slackens off that pressure.

We need an experienced manager, not a cone layer.

I am happy.

I'd rather some of the pressure was taken off them to let them do their job in a timely fashion without an angry mob wielding pitchforks.

Were you unhappy with what the "cone layer" served up on Saturday?
