Winning against Chelsea is a great start. Let’s see how he gets on Away. He also needs to work on sorting the defence out but if he knew how, he’d of done it by now. Duncan has bought Brands and Farhad more time to find someone, but he won’t be cementing a permanent place unless he goes on a winning streak until mid January and gets to the Carabao final/FA Cup semis.

Way too early tbh to even think about it, if the performances are good then the rush to find a successor won't be quite so urgent.

I don't think these or most players for that matter will put in that kind of shift every week and teams will find a system to nullify the press especially on bigger pitches. But until that happens I have no problems in him taking the Leicester cup game at home.

That’s what I understand mate.

The next couple of games probably need that same fight to get anything out of them. If we see some guile starting to show ...

Well done big man. Probably not the long term answer but it's great to see one of us stepping up at a time of need.

I have not seen teamwork harder all season in a single game credit to every player involved, they sweated blood out there.

That will catch up on players if they had to do that all the time, I think let him have the Christmas period and then maybe appoint a fresh proven manager, while keeping Dunc at the club.

The danger with appointing a club legend is what if comes to the point you sack him at some point, then bitterness would ensure. Better to keep him around the club in some role, maybe on the coaching team Brian Kid style so he is secure in his job.

Liverpool seem to be able to.

The club needs to be smart and use the "feel good factor" to get us through the two games before an ideal home tie to Arsenal for the new manager to come in.

As I said earlier ideally Dunc should get Utd & Leicester games with a new manager through the door for his first game at home under a rocking Goodison against a weak Arsenal.

Keeping it tight should see us get a point atleast at OT then have the fans bouncing again under the lights at GP to get us past Leicester and into the League Cup Semi Finals.
Waiting 3 weeks for a manager?? No chance.. needs to be this week

Love this:

"Its not about me, it's about Everton. It's about the club and the fans"

"I'm here as long as the club want me to be and to do what they want me to be"

"If a top manager comes in tomorrow then fantastic, what a great experience to work next to somebody like that" (that sounded odd...)

"Whoever comes in is coming into a fantastic football club"

I've been one of his critics in the past and bought into the whole "cone layer" thing, but the way we set up today, the way he's had Morgan Schneiderlin working his socks off, the way he got the crowd involved... I want him at Everton working with players in whatever capacity suits his skills.

Edit: 6:35 tells you what Silva was lacking.

Perhaps, i mean like if we keep on winning! It was so great to see the passion, that he has for Everton today.I think i got as big a kick out of that, as i did seeing Everton win.

Voted no, only because I hope we have our long term option installed long before May. If it was a toss up between Duncan until May or Moyes/ Hughes/ Howe et al coming in then yes, I would prefer Duncan to hold the fort.

He did what he was asked to do today. He showed passion and the players fed off of that. Do I think he's the long term solution? No. But he did a good job and got a response.

Give him decembar or "dcl can play great under Duncan" and players moaning about it will happen and undermine succesor. If he's winning keep him but that is not happening with siggy, walcott, keane, dcl, davies, schneiderlin
