On that note, why do our more highly rated youngsters not get sent out on loan (Duffy, Mustafi & Baxter) whilst the ones less close to the first team do (Nsiala, Agard & Wallace)?

In some cases, not necessarily for those three particularly, it can be that the club is allowing them to tout their wares in a lower division before they get released.
