Don’t see the big deal myself. Maybe he could have handled things better or done things differently but couldn’t we all. No doubt there’s things we don’t know about aswell. He’s not perfect but who is. He shouldn’t be ostracised from the club in my opinion.

I see Graeme Sharp, our leading post war goalscorer returned to Goodison Park today.

I’m all for forgiveness, especially for someone so high in stature here.

I’m not trying to excuse anything nor fan any flames. I know Richard Buxton has come under flak for this recently.

I’m fine with it if he wants to draw a line under it and continue being a part of a club he helped shape in some ways.

Thoughts?

If he apologises then OK but he has burned his bridges until then.

There must be someone who was there and saw what happened in reality.
Where did the story eminate from?
Was it a journo from the Sun / Star making it up and nobody at Everton closed the story down?
Someone should sit with Sharpy and interview him, he's nothing to be afraid of with his job these days and whatever the press say, nobody is looking to fill him in.

He was - in the wake of headlock gate - urged along with other board members to break their silence and address the fans fury about their name being dragged into the gutter by the UNFOUNDED accusations they through their press officer put out about our fans about being attacked.

Sharp was contacted on numerous occasions by fan groups involved in NSNOW to come to the fans aid and speak out and tell the truth.

Sharp - a former fan ambassador - would NOT do that and remained silent.

He CHOSE to let that lie stand for months.

THAT is why he's persona non grata - and rightly so.
