I think my problem with him and admitting the cold hearted truth of what he’s said for years as has been stated is, that 85 side, I was about 12/13 then and they were obviously massive heroes for me. It’s an age thing. If we talk about Rooney because I’m a bit older when he came around , I’m the first to cringe when he comes back and the club fawn over him. He’s not a legend to me. I’m a loyalist. When it comes to Everton if you choose to leave you’re dead to me. Richarlison, Pienaar, Rooney whoever, but as a kid they were my hero’s before life dulled the need for heroes. And that’s why I can’t hate Sharpe. Ffs. Andy Gray is the biggest nobed going but still love him.
