Shared stadium

These are my choices in order:

1) A new stadium for us in inner-Liverpool (not south Liverpool)
2) Redevelop Goodison
3) Shared stadium
4) Kirkby

So I'd take the shared stadium, and without too much fuss assuming it is a joint partnership.

What's wrong with South Liverpool?

Never want us to share anything with the RS, would rather give my last rolo to a Man United fan and that is saying something.

Two teams - one city. Both teams at a point were they have need to move/redevelop their stadiums. Both also are struggling to realise their development plans. Their present stadia are separated only by a small park. Their local fan base all hail from the same families, communities and districts. As such they are notable in possessing the basis for a feasible ground share arrangement.

Yes of course we should share (absolute 50/50) a stadium for these and all sorts of other straight forward, smart and practical reasons.

However I kind of accept that this is beyond us for all kinds of other reasons, well known, strongly felt and loudly proclaimed.

Roll o on..

seriously, i think it would have made sense in the past. But now bill is looking to sell to an investor, we are best waiting for the investment and going our own way.

In my heart of hearts NO - but if we got a big investor with big ideas who could install them as tenants - now that would be as funny as [Poor language removed] - even more so if they turned it down and persisted with their doomed plans!!

Still I suppose the new guy would be told in no uncertain terms that this wouldn't be the best way to endear himself to the fans - it's called Doing an Ashley*..

*unless he was doing it as part of the Masterplan to show his hand to the RS and proclaim us as the coming force on Merseyside....

Theres a perfectly good site between Speke and Garston near the retail park. Good road links and plenty of space. It's in Liverpool so I'd go for it. Redevelope Goodison is a great idea but I cant see how without causing us lots of problems. But I love Goodison so I'd try that. Share a stadium? Not a chance. This club of ours represented this city long before that lot did and should stay here were we belong. Getting wound up already here so I wont mention my feelings on Kirkby.

Simply put: Hell NO!

Ditto the above. as someone who still attends the derby at los cloacas, i still recall ds fuckas shiteing in paper cups and throwing down at us. their nom de plume is thus accurate,. dogs, end of. dont like sharing me city wd the [Poor language removed], never mind move in wd them !! not on my watch gents, i'm afraid. lcab
