Shane was here for a good few years on a permie contract rather than a years loan, I'd say the discussion was still Everton related.
If we get a Blackburn fan coming on here discussing how well he's doing there, then that would be a good time to point the discussion in the direction of "World Football".

Fair enough. Far be it from me to tell the mods how to do their thankless job. I only try to help where I can.

Let it go Mikey lad. He was never good enough. He had long enough at the club to prove he was up to standard, and failed to impress not one but two managers.
Managers with very different styles of how they want their CBs to operate and therefore the skills they require.

Martinez likes players who are very comfortable playing the ball out from the back - Duffy has strengths but that didn't look to be one of them.

Was surprised he didn't get more of a chance under Moyes though.

That man is a god..... He could ave been the best in the world but he chose a righteous path of self sacrifice in order to try and help others less talented and fortunate than himself.

He was so solid in defence as a teen, he changed his real name from Titanium Bramble to Titus to appear down to earth, also to not make others feel less worthy than him. #TrueStoryBro

Just wait and see when Galloway is partnering Stones, Shane will be quickly forgotton

I like Richard Dunne but unfortunately football these days is all about 6 pack, 100 metre sprinters in attack, bulky players like Duffy and Dunne are unfortunately in the wrong era, see Razor Ruddock for example, he got games 20 years ago but wouldnt do it now...

Strange comparison that, not even sure what my point was now !
We are talking about a player in Duffy who had five prem games for us and imo was MOTM in three of them - lets face it if he had stayed he would be used now - all this sour grapes for the lad saying he was no good old type centre back etc is gash imo oh and he scores too - good in the air just what we need - from set pieces, and long balls pumped at our back four as we have had a problem with any of our centre back pairings in the air - I stated when he left us it was a mistake - hope he does well at Rovers and they get promoted to prove everyone wrong!
