Pre season is not only about building fitness but confidence...and confidence comes with good results which to date has been non existent.
At the end of the day by day 1 of the season most premier league teams will have same level of fitness. What will make the difference is quality of course bu also confidence that you know you will score for example when that one opportunity comes. Very concerned today and looks again at a disappointing season.

I understand it’s pre season and it’s all about fitness blah blah blah. But it’s the manner of those defeats and in particular against not the highest level competition that concerns me most. Not only have we only scored 3 goals (two of those were set pieces) the lack of chances created is alarming. Big job on for Brands this week. We desperately need some creativity in the final third.

3 goals, only one by a first team player (our RB and captain no less) though which is the worry

I guess not at this stage against this type of opposition, but 2 goals in 5 games isn’t massively encouraging (not including Mainz game)

It really does not matter

It does because we need a striker

But we haven't got a striker, Richarlison isn't back, and Sigurdsson isn't doing anything atm but it doesn't matter until Palace

Don't worry abar the pre season results. Not arsed in the slightest. Main thing is just get fitness and avoid injuries ( luckily we have given how snide some of the tackles have been )

Next week against Bremen will be a good idea of where we are at.

W9ukd have preferred we done our business a couple of weeks earlier so they're not going into the palace never playing with the squad before

Are we even getting any real fitness benefit though? Our players look no sharper than the first pre-season game, we should be starting to see link ups and patterns of play by now.

That Wigan game in midweek was a complete waste of time and this tournament was just weird. When I saw the fixtures I thought it looked great, but what is the point of playing two 60 minute games on the same day this late into pre-season? Why couldn’t they spread the games out over 3 days and play 90 minutes?

I suppose it would depend on the others fixtures, but as far as we are concerned we dont play again till next week, so yeah a bit strange like, are we now gonna hang around in Germany for a week? I would presume we go home and then come back next week.

Bloody *Kenwrong after the air miles. *shakes fist.
