I would donate my kidney just to see us get an absolute walloping by dynamo Prague or some unknown team from Estonia

All you 7th place haters, Arsenal and Chelsea are 3 games away from slipping in the CL backdoor.
We could finish 16th and still qualify for the CL next season.
Every season I see the Europa league semi final line ups and bemoan the fact we don’t have our act together. Seriously is it that hard for Everton to come 7th, get an easy group and play the second string, qualify out of that and have a couple of easy ties and end up in the semi? Instead every time we qualify for it we’re experiencing some sort of meltdown, we get drawn in a group harder than most of Liverpool’s CL ones, we invariably get drawn against Europe’s up and coming team all of whose players get snapped up by CL sides the following window. We need to be getting in this every season and sticking around in it for a run like United has then lo and behold we have a trophy chance and CL qualification.
That's the thing: you're more likely to get easier draws if you have a good UEFA coefficient, and to get that you need to compete regularly and do well. In short, we need to stop being tits and losing to minnows for no reason.
It’s not even minnows though. There was that ridiculous Benfica team: David Luiz, Ramires, Di Maria, Aimar, Cardozo like what was that doing in the Europa league? Then there was the Standard Liege team with half the Belgian national team in it even after we took Fellaini. We obviously also ran into the start of this good Lyon team and had Ndombele and Fekir pulling us all over the shop. Even some of the players from that Atalanta side are being linked with top clubs. Contrast that to some of the utter dross that United played until they got to the final or some of the tosh that Liverpool under Rodgers and Rafael used to play.
Anyone remember the time we finished 6th and didn’t get Europe?
