Sell to buy

Looks like we need an emergency meeting of Bedwetters Anonymous, get out your calendars and let's pencil in a day and time.

So someone showing concern is a bedwetter, does that make the unrealistically optimistic 'Sunshine happy clappers'? I think most of us waver between the two most of the times depending on how things are going.
I can see the benefit of thinning the squad before purchases, makes sense. I can see the problem of players on high wages not wanting to give that up. This little mess won't get fixed in one summer and either faction needs to understand that.

There's another faction that you haven't mentioned there mate - those who thought that Allardyce shouldn't have been sacked @Kev The Rat knows who I mean

Brilliant news, my local Heart Foundation shop has agreed to take Williams, Mirallas, Besic, Sandro, and others, free of charge.

I need to leave them at the kerbside by 7-00am, with all fire safety labels showing.

Result!

Sounds like the good old days (err I mean not so long ago days) are here again and Kenwrights back in charge, sell to buy is not exactly what I want to hear from a club supposedly on the up. What happens if nobody wants to buy from us? I'll tell you what and it's that I'm not buying and it's the bull shizer they're selling supporters.

Hardly surprising really. Our squad is too large and full of too many players of similar type that don’t perform well.
They need to go and we need to recover some of the original outlay by selling them.
We have also wasted enough money paying off managers in the last two or three seasons that we could otherwise have put towards wages for a couple of top class players (assuming that we could actually attract any).

Good Lord, this isn't like flogging a young Wayne Rooney to keep the team afloat. Too many players, too many on large wages. Get that down to a manageable level, see who's left and then bring in new faces. Plus a lower wage bill means more money available to entice better players. Simple, really.

All this statement tells us is what most of us realistically think already.
No meaningful business until the World Cup is over, then a mad frenzy in the short time before the deadline closes.
Not the perfect of scenarios to start with.
